Care
Hand wash in cold water, and lay it flat to allow it to dry in its proper shape. Never tug, twist, or pull the piece to remove excess water, as this can distort the shape of your piece. Never put your alpaca wool in the dryer. Can be dry cleaned.
Benefits of Alpaca Wool Sweater:
1. Alpaca sweaters ar up to five times warmer than sheep's wool, alpaca fibres are completely hollow which means they can trap and insulate a greater amount of warm air than sheep fibres which can only insulate small pockets of air.
2. Alpaca sweaters are made from a unique, moisture-wicking fabric that allows air to circulate through the fibers, keeping you cool and dry. Alpaca is also a good option for people who sweat a lot or are allergic to wool. If you have trouble perspiring when wearing other fabrics, alpaca will likely solve this problem for you. You'll be able to wear an alpaca sweater in warm weather without feeling overwhelmed by heat or humidity—even if you're sweating!
3. Alpaca has many benefits over other fibers such as wool (which comes from sheep) or synthetics like polyester, acrylics, and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). For one thing, alpaca is warmer than other natural fibers like wool—because it's hollow inside! It's also lighter weight than most synthetic fabrics without sacrificing any warmth.
4. Alpaca wool is very soft and lightweight, making it perfect for sweaters. It’s also extremely warm and breathable, so you can wear your alpaca sweater anywhere without worrying about sweating or getting cold.
5. Alpaca doesn’t itch, scratchy, or make you feel hot like other materials like polyester do. Alpacas don't even have any lanolin in them (which makes sheep's wool itchy), so they're perfect to wear year-round!
6. Alpaca wool is soft, luxurious and durable, sustainable and earth-friendly. One of the best benefits of alpaca wool is that with proper care it can last seemingly forever! Plus, because the fibers are strong, long, and silky, they're less prone to pilling, unlike other animal materials.
7. Alpaca wool is naturally antimicrobial and odor-resistant.
8. In addition alpaca wool is a cruelty-free, sustainable option for a wool product.
